If you’re looking for a place to break away from the hustle and bustle of your day-to-day life, look no further than Hot Springs, Arkansas. Hot Springs is a city renowned for its thermal waters and outdoor recreation. My husband and I had a chance to experience the city while visiting for a family member’s wedding. Hot Springs has everything you need to relax and recharge.

 

1. Hot Springs National Park is a must-visit spot for any nature lover. The park features hot springs, hiking trails and scenic drives. 
2. Bathhouse Row is a historic district home to eight beautifully restored bathhouses from the 19th and 20th centuries, each offering a unique spa experience. 
3. Magic Springs Theme and Water Park offer thrills for all ages, from roller coasters to water slides. 
4. Rent a boat or bring your own for a day of fishing or cruising on the beautiful Lake Hamilton. 
5. The interactive Mid-America Science Museum is perfect for families with children and features hands-on exhibits and a planetarium. 
6. Enjoy 210 acres of botanical gardens, nature trails and stunning lakeside views at Garvan Woodland Gardens.
7. Watch live horse racing at Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort, or try your luck at the casino at this popular entertainment venue. 
8. Visit the Hot Springs Farmers & Artisans Market for locally grown produce, handmade crafts and live music. 

 

My top three of these wonderful sites were the Garvan Woodland Gardens, Bathhouse Row and Oaklawn Racing Casino.
